Ginger Kessel

Ginger moved to the Walla Walla Valley in 1997, and for the first few years she worked at local community banks.  In 2001, Ginger took a sales assistant position at Smith Barney.  She was given a set of study books for securities licensing and became licensed in 2003.  Ginger continued in her role as a registered sales assistant and gained valuable experience in the securities industry as she worked closely with financial advisors and clients.

In 2009, Ginger became a financial advisor and teamed up with her mentor, Jim McCarthy.  In 2013, Ginger and Jim joined E.K. Riley Investments, LLC, which was subsequently acquired by LPL Financial in 2020.  This acquisition presented an opportunity to become independently branded as Compass Financial Services.  In 2021, after a brief association with LPL Financial, Ginger chose to partner with Commonwealth Financial Network where she continues to do business as Compass Financial Services.

After more than two decades in the securities industry, Ginger has experienced the highs and lows of market cycles.  She works with clients to build portfolios that address their current needs, while also considering their risk tolerance and future goals.  She is well-versed in tax management strategies and enjoys helping clients with estate planning strategies.
